The Strava Mile: Run your best mile in June and share your story with Strava #MyMile
If you forgot to put it on the calendar, June 7 is Global Running Day, and as we are mostly a day ahead of every one here in Fiji, we are doing ours on Thrusday 8th to be running at same time as every one else 🙂
Take the Challenge with Strava #MyMile
Tell the story of your run with #MyMile on Strava. The perfect lines of the local track, a group selfie of you and your mile crew, your big ice cream reward for your equally big effort – #MyMile is how Strava athletes are sharing the personality of their run.
The Strava Mile: Run your best mile in June and share your story with #MyMile
All you need for this one is guts. Just about any runner can get through a mile. But it takes courage to toe the line and go for a new PR. For a few minutes, you’ll have to believe in yourself with total certainty. You’ll be determined and relentless. You’ll be a badass on the run at top speed. It’s going to burn while you try, but feel amazing when you’re done.
Whatever your time – that’s between you and your mile. The Strava Mile is about bringing all kinds of runners together to celebrate a big, bold effort and smash a few (million) PRs, and we want you in.
It’s free. It’s simple. It’s for anyone with the guts to try. Join us.
How it Works
It’s pretty simple: Of course we want to see a PR effort, but you don’t have to score a PR time – giving it your best shot and using #MyMile in your activity title is all you need to do to enter.
You can use the Strava app or a compatible GPS device. We suggest going to a place with great reception and running a little over a mile. As much as we wish they could, GPS satellites can’t always track you perfectly, and we don’t want a spotty signal or distance rounding error to spoil your big effort.
