Gina Hound Lee (left) of the Suva Marathon Club shakes hands with The Fiji Times publisher Hank Arts after signing the Island Chill Suva Marathon sponsorship agreement yesterday.
THE Fiji Times continues to support one of the largest road run in the South Pacific, the Island Chill Suva Marathon for the fourth time.

Publisher Hank Arts said The Fiji Times was delighted to again be the media sponsor.
“It is such a good event; there is something for everyone, young and old, fit and not so fit! And it is fun with a great community spirit with the benefit of a well-directed healthy event,” Arts said.
“I believe that in Fiji, and Suva with its now well-developed waterfront, we can achieve the same.
“This event already attracts some serious overseas runners and many local walkers and runners. In time this will also grow into an event that will attract more and more overseas participants of all abilities.
“It seems only natural that in Suva, the The Fiji Times becomes a regular and ongoing partner in this event. In Suva we have the parks, the space, a great course and the happy participants backed by a great organising committee, we can’t miss.”
Suva Marathon club vice-president Gina Houng Lee said The Fiji Times had played a huge role in spreading the word out about the marathon which was fantastic.
“They have been helpful in terms of getting the message out there and the aim of the Suva Marathon club is certainly to support runners with their goal in running the marathon and also an element where we address NCDs.”
